Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Patrol Officer Sean Allen Collier

To the Collier family and MIT Police, Col DiFava, sorry for this senseless loss. We've had many over the past three decades I've been on the job, but this case is the worst.
Public safety has many deaths, all tragic, but many accidental. When an officer is murdered in such a cowardly ambush it just ranks the top of the list. Officer Collier's memorial service was the biggest I've seen. I know this turnout was because of the magnitude of this case. We can not prepare for this type of assault, unless you're in the red zone all shift with pistol at the ready. God bless this brave young officer's soul. He did nothing wrong, but was in the path of two animals determined to kill.

Officer Collier died protecting not only M.I.T. and Massachusetts, but all of America. R.I.P. Officer Collier and may your family have peace. I am a Boston area native. The attack on my hometown greatly saddens me, but the actions of our law enforcement officers makes me never more proud to be a police officer, a Bostonian, and an American. God Bless and job well done by the M.I.T. Police Department, the MBTA Transit Police Department, the Boston Police Department, the Watertown Police Department, the Massachusetts State Police, the FBI, the Massachusetts National Guard and all other first responders.

To the family, friends and co-workers of Officer Collier,

I'm a volunteer/part time LEO in New Jersey and have been for the last 18 years. Unlike most officers, I stumbled into law enforcement at a late age but now know that it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. As I read about Sean , not only on the site but on other sites (MIT, etc.) I can but only say that I am very humbled, honored and privileged to call you my brother in blue. I will do my best as I continue in law enforcement to have the same passion, dedication and spirit that you had for law enforcement and life. May you rest in peace and I will meet you on the other side
