I still can't believe I am looking at you on this page my friend. You lived a hero's life here on earth. I enjoyed our years in the interior together and still remember you always giving me flying tips! I grilled tonight even though there is still snow on the ground, hoping that, like always, you'd show up for some burgers while out on patrol.

Mariah and I will keep Nikki and the boys in our thoughts and prayers....know all of us are here taking care of them while you handle more important calls from the nobelest of posts.

Rest easy brother. You will be missed and never forgotten.

I spent alot of time growing up with Tage. He was a good person and a better friend. Life drifted us apart, but I still considered him a close friend. I hope Tage's family is well and send them my best wishes. I miss him and know he is in a good place.

Every time I saw Trooper Toll he had a smile on his face and a kind word to say. He took the time to put a new prosecutor at ease, explaining basic concepts of law enforcement and sharing a little about his life. He spoke fondly of his wife and children and the love for them was evident. RIP, Trooper Toll, you made me proud to be a prosecutor and glad to be able to work with such a great group of people as our Alaska State Troopers.

Brother,

We spoke two days before you passed and we always ended our conversation telling each other to "be safe out there". I considered you a good friend, an excellent Trooper and an excellent father and husband. You died a true hero doing what you loved, helping people. I will miss hearing you going 10-8 on the radio. We will take care of your family, I promise. Rest in peace brother!

FALLEN HEROES
From the time I was conceived God had for me a plan
He wanted me to get involved to help my fellow man
I know some were against it but God knows what is best
Since the day he took me home I've had perfect rest
Heaven is so beautiful I'm walking streets of gold
Now I"m serving others including saints of old
I know some still have anger about the way I died
But God sees and bottles every tear you cry
God has given every soul a special job to do
Please know this my loved ones I'm watching over you
Soon we will be together never more to part
Until then just remember I'm as close as your heart

I have laid down my life in service to all of you.
I have been a part of the fabric that has held the line between your safety and your victimization. I have given my life so that others may live in peace. I have lived my life as a dedicated member of the greatest profession. There is no greater honor.

As I now become a part of the rich history of law enforcement, please remember me always for I have left behind those who loved and depended upon me.
My partners and my agency, please remember my family, their loss, and don’t let time soften your compassion for them.

You guard the gate now and I will continue my watch from above.

MAY YOU REST IN PEACE AND MAY YOUR FAMILY FIND COMFORT IN THE GOOD YOU HAVE DONE HERE ON EARTH.

End of Watch in this manner is always tragic. Our country is in trouble when our news channels headline an injury to a basketball player; but fails to mention a police officer who loses his life to search for and rescue another human. My condolences to his fellow troopers, civilian employees, associates, and family.

Retired Chief John R. Graham
