I knew Tage when he was a child, attending school with my kids in Clifton, Ks. He was a very intelligent and talented child back then. He was with the Highway Patrol here in Kansas the last time I saw him. I pray that his family find peace and comfort in the knowledge that he is with the Lord now. Having lost a child ourselves, we can identify with the shock and horrendous grief the Toll, Grant and Peterson families are dealing with at this time. I hope they will look for comfort from the Compassionate Friends organization. The chapter in Salina, Kansas were very helpful in helping us get through our ordeal. Tage's mother, Maureen, was a member of our Clifton Art Buffs for many years. When she is ready, I know she will find comfort in creating images of her son, writing about him, and sharing her feelings. I wish you all peace and comfort in this difficult time. Let the Lord carry your burden for you.

Tage was the spark in the room. No one loved and lived life more than him. We are shocked and deeply saddened. Our hearts are hurting very badly for Doug, Maureen, Nikki, and those precious boys. Other family too whom we don't personally know. We will miss his visits back to Kansas and all the memories we've had with you two as a couple before moving to Alaska. 2 Cor. 4:17 is very fitting.

Tage Toll was a man of strength who stood on his principles and loved his country. He was wild just like the Alaska he loved. He will be greatly missed.
