I am a retired Air force officer who had served two combat tours in Vietnam protecting our country with pride. Yet even with my history, there is NO ONE I respect more than one of 'our finest' that puts him self between the law-abiding public, and the lawless criminal EVERYDAY!..My heart aches for the loss of such an officer!..He will be in my prayers, ALWAYS!..'There is no stronger love than that where one will lay down his life for that of a friend'....and the American public were ALL his friends, each truly-thankful for what he/she does for us at every confrontation!

May he be in the Lords embracing hands this day!

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the SCPD, as well as the family and friends of both officers. I grew up in Ben Lomond, became a police officer, and am now a forensic interviewer working with law enforcement on sex crimes. This loss touches me on so many different levels. You will never be forgotten.
