In tracing family history, I find my first cousin Officer Benjamin J. "BJ" Carroll was following in the footsteps of many who dedicate their lives to protect and serve us. It is with sadness that I discover this information, but proud to know he too, along with several others in our family, fought the good fight and served with distinction and pride. I regret he only got to serve for a mere six months before being taken away from a young family.
