My deepest condolences go out to Sergeant Rick Riggenbach’s family, fellow Officers and friends. Though I did not know him personally, I did have the opportunity to meet him on two occasions last year. I remember him as being an extremely nice guy and a dedicated professional.

I worked with Rick for many years at the Sheriff's Office. Rick was truly a great Deputy, Office, friend and father. I can honestly say I have never heard Rick ever turn someone down that asked him for help. He was a good friend and will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Rick payed the ultimate price protecting us and loved his job. May you Rest in Peace Rick. I will never forget you my friend.
