Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Police Officer Kevin Andrew Tonn

Kevin;

Thank you for everything that you stood for. If there was a simple definition of the work "Integrity" is would say "see left" and it would have your picture.

You are a MAN of integrity. Yes, we are all going to miss you, there is no doubt about that. However, I look back at the countless number of people who's heart you have touched, including mine.

Thank you, for taking the time that one day to allow me to pray over you.

You have left a legacy here that will never be forgotten. As tragic as it is, you leave behind a legacy.

Go, my friend, rest in peace. We will meet again.

A MOMENT

Dear Father,
It was only a moment,
but
In that moment a madman walked in
In that moment the world was changed.
In that moment countless Lives, were utterly altered.
In that moment our hearts began breaking.
Now in these moments we speak names previously unknown:
With reverence, we utter their names
In a moment our Line of BLUE stretched out across the nation.
That hard, fast and steady Line of BLUE has been breached.
In these moments help us as we have all become a part of the
Line of BLUE.
Dry our tears, comfort our broken hearts, strengthen our weaken knees, cure our confusion.
May the Line of BLUE draw a circle around us pulling back our hope.
May the Line of BLUE be a shield before us.
May the Line of BLUE carry us into the moments of our future.
A future made sure by their sacrifice in a moment.
It was only a moment and they were gone but
we and the Line of BLUE go on…

In honor of the fallen.

Our sympathies to the Tonn family and the Galt PD family;

The silence, now, is deafening
where once his laughter fell.

The beat is empty of the one
who knew its streets so well.

The squad room has a vacancy
no one else can occupy.

And so we stand, salute and grieve
again we say 'good-bye'.
