To The Yung Family,

My condolences are with all of you at this sad time .. I have known Bryan and Angela for several years and met Chris at one of the dinner gatherings they had at their townhouse. Chris was so friendly and so sweet and always had a huge smile on his face. I remember it just like it was yesterday. My heart bleeds for such a sad sad tragedy and I am saying a prayer for all of you that you can get through such a trying time. Bryan and Angela were there for me when I lost my husband Bob as I will be here for what ever you may need. My heart goes out to his wife and his children. God Bless each and everyone of you. Love to all of you and just remember, Chris is with God now and he will always be by your side, looking down at you and taking such wonderful care of you. Rest In Peace My Dear Chris... <3

I'm saddened to learn of this. I had a run in with Officer Yung a while back where he helped me with a DUI driver, and his attitude and professionalism was above bar. He had no issues with possibly taking on the drunk work (wasn't my primary jurisdiction). My hearts and prayers go out to his friends adn family, every brother and sister in PWCPD. May you rest in peace and know your life's work and dedication will be carried on by the rest of your family in blue! I will never see that location the same. I live less than 2 minutes from there, and actually came through there prior to this last night.

Chris you were the type of man we should all strive to become. You made this world a better place and touched so many lives both on and off duty. I will do everything in my power to be the best beat partner and friend to Dale as he continues the career and life you were so passionate about. Though your watch here on earth has ended, I know you are looking down from heaven with that incredible smile. Rest In Peace my friend.

TO THE FAMILY, FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES OF PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT, OFFICER CHRIS YUNG.

My heart is filled with great sadness at learning of the lost of your loved one and fellow Officer.
We in the law enforcement community are a family.
Though we may wear different uniforms and have different badges, shields, or stars pinned upon our chest.
We consist of many different agencies from across the nation, for we are Municipal Police Officers, Sheriff's Deputies, State Police Investigators, State Highway Patrol Troopers, Conservation Officers, Correctional Officers and Federal Agents just to name a few.
We patrol small towns, large cities, county roads and state highways.
Whether active duty or retired, we are one family, a law enforcement family, brothers and sisters bonded together by HONOR, SERVICE and PRIDE.
Daily we honor our fallen brothers and sisters never forgetting their sacrifice.
Daily our position is clear that we will SERVE and PROTECT our communities without faltering and with no hesitation.
Daily we show pride in our chosen profession LAW ENFORCEMENT, for we willingly walk the line of GOOD over EVIL facing the unknown with COURAGE keeping our trust and faith in GOD.
We know that evil roam these streets and at any moment in the course of performing our duties the ultimate sacrifice might be required of us in the service to our community, for LAW ENFORCEMENT is not a job but a calling and only a few will make the decision to commit to that calling to serve for some will give all that they have.
I commend you my fallen brother for making the ultimate sacrifice in the performance of your duty.
For you left us doing what you chose to do.
Performing a job you were trained to do.
Upholding the oath you swore to do.
Most importantly doing what you loved to do........SERVING and PROTECTING your community with HONOR and PRIDE making a better and safer place for us all.

Chris,
Prince William County has truly lost its finest officer. No one enjoyed being a cop more than you; your permanent smile and laugh always reflected that. Thank you for taking me under your wing, your friendship and direction was a major influence on me all throughout police academy (session 19) and beyond. The study sessions, rides in your Red Corvette 'Chonkie', and time spent with your family are memories I will cherish for the rest of my life. I promise to look after your family as you did me.
