My heartfelt sympathies go out to this Officers family. I am a 26 year veteran, and have been involved in one shooting during my career. It is a danger/threat that every officer faces everyday they go to work. Just keep vigilant and always watch those hands and body language. God bless.

My condolences ot the family of Officer Norman, who stood--and stands--in the Thin Blue Line that is drawn between the lovers of good and the purveyors of evil. I never see an entry that it does not trouble my heart and soul.

A police officer should be remembered not by how he died, but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the Bellaire Police Department. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother.
