I have always known Sean as a young man who would face a challenge. Educators from elementary school to college weep today for the young man who faced adversity and challenge but always kept going and in the end made choices that allow us to say that we are proud to have known Sean.

Today, I lost a brother. My heart hurts and I am lost for words. Officer Callahan and I attended the police academy for over six months. I can honestly say that he was a courageous individual with a truly good spirit. He was one of the youngest and brightest of the 15. You will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. I would like to take this time to send a warning to all individuals that seek to do harm to law enforcement officers. Our resolve is greater than yours and we will systematically hunt you down and bring you to justice!!! Class 11-002 will NEVER QUIT AND WILL ALWAYS KEEP FIGHTING!!!!!

Sean, we honor your service to your community as a law enforcement officer and you will always be remembered and revered. Rest in Peace.

On behalf of our entire family, I wish to extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Sean was killed in the line of duty. May his loved ones continue to be supported by their law enforcement family and other police survivors. Our family grieves with you and for you. To his family, you are in my heart's embrace today. I pray for the emotional healing for all who called Sean beloved.

I was so saddened to learn of the loss of this young officer just starting his law enforcement career and know what a devastating blow his loss is to his family and his agency.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the service Officer Callahan gave to his community and the citizens of Georgia, and the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on December 18, 2012.
