To the family of Officer David Gogian:

I heard about this horrible tradgedy today at work. I had to stop what I was doing, I thought about it, teared up for a minute then sat down and said a prayer for all of you. I know how you feel. My son was ambushed and killed 3 yrs ago while serving Sedgwick Co. KS Sheriff Dept. Rest assured that the law enforcement community is among the strongest support you could ever have. Try to take comfort in knowing that David died a hero and that God has a special reward for his sacrifice. Remember too that Gods own son was murdered and because of His sacrifice that you can all be together again someday. My heart goes out to you and my prayers will go up for you.

Father of Deputy Brian S. Etheridge
