Our thoughts and prayers go out to the friends and family of Officer Lang. We grieve with you; We honor her memory with you. Just as we have done for our own. Tomorrow will be the 5th anniversary of the LODD of our own Officer Eric Freeman. We stand with you in this time of grief as you have stood with us in our time of grief.

What a beautiful woman and an honorable officer. Your dedication and service will not be forgotten as you have left an amazing legacy for your children. God certainly must have a special place for you in heaven...maybe watching over those 20 angels from Connecticut that joined you today. I will keep your children in my prayers and pray that you know, somehow, that those you left behind hold your sacrifices in our hearts and are grateful beyond words. May God bless your sweet children.

Oh Lord, while I'm on my beat

May I know that you're with me,

And protect me as I go to guard

Other's lives and property.

Help me ignore those who scorn

And show me no respect,

But be mindful of all citizens

I've sworn to protect.

Be with my fellow officers

And guard their safety too.

May I always put duty first

In the work that I must do.

May I not disgrace the uniform

But bring pride to the badge I wear.

That I'd be a good policeman, Lord

Would be my only prayer.

Amen
