Officer Tom Decker's family, my heartfelt condolences to all of you! Law Enforcement is a special calling, few people can serve. Tom offered the ultimate sacrifice, his life and his family to serve his community. Only soldiers and firefighters expose themselves to the same fate. As a retired LEO, 34 years, my heart goes out to you and his friends. God bless you all, heaven has another hero....

God has received you with open arms of love and grace for your service given unto His children in our community during your years of service. Only He knows the minset and desires of the man of evil who took you away from your family and your brothers and sisters in law enforcement. These ones left behind will care for your family and will keep your record of love, honor and integrity to His children alive for years to come. Your name is honored forever in the halls of our LE brothers and sisters. Rest in peace brother, In Christ.

I did not have the privilege of knowing Tom, but he will be remembered as a hero and a loving father. I grew up in Cold Spring and graduated from Rocori HS. It is a small town that I know will be there for his family.

Officer Decker, Rest well in the presence of the Lord.

To Your Family:

Feel His presence as God answers the prayers of many who have fallen to their knees on your behalf. Since the day of my son's death, I have carried every law enforcement officer and their family in my heart.

Every morning I go to my knees. During that time I pray, “Lord, Be with all law enforcement officers. Keep them safe and free from harm. They are your soldiers on the front line of the battle against evil. If one should fall this day - wrap their family in your loving arms. Surround them with loving, caring people to comfort them. Ease their pain. Help them to mourn well. In Jesus' name, Amen”

I have lifted you and your family to God every morning for 21 months. Feel those prayers. God is with you, He knows and will ease your pain.
