I am sorry for the loss of our brother of the Motor Squad of Illionis. To the family of Trooper Deatherage know that his service was with honor and didication. He has gone the extra mile to be on the Motor Squad and I am sure this was his chosen service. "Your hands follow your eyes" and your eyes have followed your heart. " Let not your heart be troubled, you believe in God, believe also in me." Thanks for all your service to your family, community, and State. May God comfort you in this time of grief.

Dear family of Kyle I am so very sorry that your husband and father was taken from you in this horrible accident. Please know that my husband and I are praying for you and that we know some of the grief that you are going through. Our daughter, Lakewood Police Officer Tina Griswold was murdered along with 3 other officers at the Forza Coffee Shop by Maurice Clemons November 29, 2009. I finally read tonight all the reflections that were left for Tina and it helped me to know how many lives she touched. I hope this will give you some comfort in the future as well. Kyle will never be forgotten, not by you and certainly not by others whose lives he touched. May God watch over you and your precious children.

I have laid down my life in service to all of you.
I have been a part of the fabric that has held the line between your safety and your victimization.
As I now become a part of the rich history of law enforcement, please remember me always for I have left behind those who loved and depended upon me.
I have given my life so that others may live in peace.
My partners and my agency, please remember my family, their loss, and don’t let time soften your compassion for them.
You guard the gate now and I will continue my watch from above.

MAY YOU REST IN PEACE AND MAY YOUR FAMILY FIND COMFORT IN THE GOOD YOU HAVE DONE HERE ON EARTH.
