Prayers to the family, friends and department. There's not much anyone can say at this time that will make sense, just know there are a lot of people who care and sending you lots of prayers.
Deputy Scott Ward thank you for your service, you are a Hero, and will never be forgotten. There are lots of Hero's that went way too soon waiting for you, know that you've met them all by now and walking the streets of gold...
To the family and co-workers there are a lot of people who have walked in your shoes and lost their loved one way to soon, call on anyone of them at anytime...

To the family, friends and co-workers of Deputy Sheriff, Scott Ward-my profound sympathies to all of you. The suspect's sudden unnecessary violence against the Officers here is just what makes law enforcement such a dangerous job for all across the country. Your loved one served bravely in a dangerous occupation. His sacrifice will be forever honored in our profession. My heart goes out to all of you who have lost someone dear to you.
