My heart goes out to Deputy Ward and his family.Im a police officer in Sneads,Florida.I was shot in 2010 and I survived.I will never be the same.And every time I see one of our own lost,I feel that much more blessed that I got a second chance.I pray for a speedy recovery for the surviving Deputies.Rest in Peace Brother Ward.

As a retired Deputy Sheriff of Mobile County and former
member of the Honor Guard after almost twenty-seven years I know it is not easy for a family to lose a love one in
this line of work, I also know You as Sheriff feel the pain to
