As an extended Savage relative of William Savage I am thankful for your service and appreciate that you served. I may have been born years later and not had the chance to meet you, but I am grateful for the oath you took.

I can still remember the day you died. I was only four years old and I remember your wife, Molita, coming into our front door sobbing to my mother(Margaretta Savage Buchanan) I'm 70 now but I remember that day like it was yesterday. I still miss you, Uncle Bill.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 58th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

I pray for the solace of all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.
