Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Divine Power of God -
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.

Rest in peace brother

Thoughts & memories of Anthony Rakes, who even as a very young child always wanted to be a cop. He always played cop, yelling FREEZE I'm Carroll Kirkland (Marion County Sheriff). I seen you countless times coming into the Marion County Detention Center bringing van loads of inmates to & from court. Always patient, putting handcuffs & shackles on & taking them off. You treated each & every inmate the same, no matter what the situation, no matter what their charges were & always did it with a smile & never made any condescending remarks. You will truly be missed by the Marion County Sheriff's Dept & the Marion County Detention Center staff. God Bless.
