Officer Youngstrom, I met you once when you were briefly assigned to the Vallejo area. I remembered your polite professionalism and genuine compassion that you showed to the injured folks at the scene of a vehicle collision.

As a fellow police officer, instances like these are what we dread to hear. It is the often unspoken realities of our job that we tuck away in the back of our minds hoping that it will never happen but on occasion, God puts his hands on our shoulder and says "sorry my child, it's your time."

I have lost more friends in this line of business than I care to remember and it seems to get harder for me, each and every time. I only hope that I have the strength and courage to carry on in the memory of brave warriors such as yourself.

Rest in peace my LEO brother. My deepest condolences to the family.

Lt. Kenny Park
Vallejo PD. CA
