Reflections for Corporal Marshall Lee Bailey

God full of mercy who dwells on high
Grant perfect rest on the wings of Your Divine Presence
In the lofty heights of the holy and pure
who shine as the brightness of the heavens
to the soul of Marshall Bailey who has gone to his eternal rest.

His resting place shall be in the Garden of Eden
Therefore; the Master of mercy will care for him
under the protection of His wings for all time
And bind his soul in the bond of everlasting life.
God is his inheritance and he will rest in peace
and let us say AMEN.

As a former member of the WVSP I had the honor and privilege of working with Marshall during my years in Braxton County. Marshall was a great man and a dedicated Trooper. The men and women who serve within the entire West Virginia Law Enforcement community are among the finest in the world. He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. My prayers are with Marshall’s family and the West Virginia State Police.

No one really understands the stress the family goes through during an officer's tour of duty not to mention in a situation where an officer goes down. My sincerest sympathy goes out to the family and my heartfelt prayers to the officer whom I am positive our Father has welcomed within his ranks. Devasting was the news and intently followed. May GOD bless us all.
