I remember back when I was in high school at Clay High you came to my grandfathers house and talked to him about my cousin and how you were afraid his speeding would end very badly. You took time out of your day to try to save my cousin and save our family the heart break of losing him. I know it was because you were not just doing your job, but you did it because you cared. Clay county and the state of West Virginia has suffered a great loss in losing you. My heart and prayers go out to your three children and your family. God Bless you and them and I pray that God helps them through the rough days ahead.

As one of the newest troopers (62nd Cadet) in the WVSP I can only listen to the stories told by the men who knew you corporal. I haven't heard a bad one yet. It was great men such as yourself that made me want to join this State Police Family. Losing a fellow trooper, even one that I don't know personally, is a tough thing to do. Even though I'd never met you, you were my brother. The State Police is a family and when one of us is hurt we all hurt. You will be greatly missed by all of your State Police brothers and sisters. Don't worry we won't let you have died in vain. We will continue to be the best at what we do. There will always be a trooper in green to protect our great state and carry on our traditions.
