Rest in Peace Corporal Marshall Lee Bailey. You will be greatly missed.

It is hard for me to express in words the sorrow I feel for the family of Corporal Bailey. I too lost my brother (Trooper Brian William Linn) who died in the line of duty and the pain of his loss is still here today. Please note you are not alone in your grief as anyone who pins a badge on and place their life on the line is with you in your time of grief. My thoughts and prayers are for you and may god’s blessings be upon you during this difficult time.

The State of West Virginia will forever be in your debt and Corporal Bailey’s bravery, leadership, and devotion to public safety will live on.

Treasure The Moments ...
Those we love remain with us
For love itself lives on,
And cherished memories never fade
Because a loved one's gone.
Those we love can never be
More than a thought apart,
For as long as there is memory,
They'll live on in the heart.

I have laid down my life in service to all of you.
I have been a part of the fabric that has held the line between your safety and your victimization.
As I now become a part of the rich history of law enforcement, please remember me always for I have left behind those who loved and depended upon me.
I have given my life so that others may live in peace.
My partners and my agency, please remember my family, their loss, and don’t let time soften your compassion for them.
You guard the gate now and I will continue my watch from above.

THANK YOU FOR A YOUR SERVICE. MAY YOU REST IN PEACE.
