I'm so honored to have had the opportunity to work with you at RCSO. I have so many memories of you and our time there together ranging from funny, scary, sad, fast-paced, slow ... I won't ever forget you, Josh, or everything you contributed to my world as a friend, a jailer, and an officer. Prayers for your wife, your mom and sisters, and the many other family members and friends who are forced to go on without you. Til we meet again, brother.......

I met Dep. Mitchell in June at the DARE conference in Eagle Pass. He seemed so excited about what he was doing. He made me more interested in my job. I believe GOD said something about the young will lead you. He was an inspiration to me in the short time I knew him. He even left the conference early to get back to his job. Josh, you go on and rest now. We who are left behind will carry on the tradition you loved and were so proud of. GOD bless you for your interest in the children of Texas. You WILL NOT be forgotten.
