I saw Sergio almost everyday as I took my kids to school on the freeway.
We worked together and side by side when I was a deputy.
He was my friend and I enjoyed our talks and time.
Sad to know I won't be able to see him again and ask him how he is doing.
We know what time we start work, but we never know if we are coming home on time, or home at all. Good bye my friend. You will be missed.

FOR A WIFE WHO HAS LOST HER HUSBAND,
WE ASK GOD TO FILL THE SPACES LEFT BEHIND.
FOR PARENTS WHO HAVE A LOST A SON.
MAY GOD SUSTAIN YOU, AND HOLD YOU IN HIS ARMS.
FOR SIBLINGS WHO HAVE LOST A SIBLING.
MAY GOD REMIND YOU OF THE GOOD TIMES.

WE CAN’T SAY THANKYOU ENOUGH.

FOR OFFICERS' WHO HAVE LOST A DEAR FRIEND.
MAY GOD HELP YOU PICK UP THE PIECES.
FOR CHIDREN WHO HAVE LOST THEIR HERO.
MAY GOD RESTORE BEAUTY TO YOUR HOME,
WITHOUT REPLACING HIS MEMORY.

WE CAN’T SAY THANKYOU ENOUGH.

THE BROTHERS, THE SISTERS, THE PARENTS, THE CHILDREN, THE FRIENDS.
WE HONOR THE FALLEN, AND PRAY FOR THE LIVING.
IN YOUR PAIN, AND IN YOUR SADNESS,
AND YOUR TEAR FILLED NIGHTS.
GOD PROMISES A DAY WITH NO MORE PAIN,
NO MORE SADNESS AND NO MORE TEARS.
IT’S A DAY WITHOUT MOURNING.
A DAY WHEN THE RADIANCE OF HIS SON SHINES BRIGHTER,
THAN ANY PAIN WE HAVE EXPERIENCED AND UNTIL THAT DAY WE GATHER TOGETHER.
“OFFICER”, WE SAY THANKYOU,
BECAUSE WE CAN NEVER SAY THESE WORDS ENOUGH.

Sergio,

It was an honor and privilege to work beside you while at the Milwaukee County Sheriffs Office. Everyday we put on our armor and go into the battlefield. Many may disapprove, but you and I knew the challenge we faced daily! With God on our side and through perseverance, we will SEE IT THROUGH! Brother one day, we can laugh and smile about the good times we had. You will be missed. I will say a prayer for the safety of your family. They will be taken care of by your brothers and sisters. You will be missed!

I am sorry for the death of one of your deputies. It is tough when a law enforcement officer is killed in the line of duty. Not just the family mourns but the whole agency and community he serves mourns this tragic loss. I have witnessed three law enforcement officers that have been killed in my area. The first was Officer Joe Corr of the New Hartford, NY Police Department killed trying to apprehend a jewelry store robbery suspect, next was Utica, NY Police Officer Tom Lindsey who was killed by a suspect during a traffic stop and last but not least Oneida County Sheriff's Deputy Kurt Wyman who was murdered by an abusive gentleman who was in a fight with his girlfriend when he was killed by that same suspect. I know how your department is feeling at this moment it is very tough for any community to lose a sheriff's deputy, state trooper/highway patrol officer, city, town or village police officer. Not just the family mourns but the whole community and agency mourn as well.

To all the law enforcemnet agencies who lose an officer or officer. It is a very tough thing to go through.

July 31, 2012

God bless you, your family, your law enforcement family & your friends. My thoughts and prayer are with you all. I am so devestated for your loss.
