Prayers of peace for your Loved Ones as they grieve.

Each in our own way feel the loss of one of our brothers and sisters in Blue, even if we do not personally know them. I do not know your pain Mrs. Mast, but hope you will copy all of these entries for your son or daughter to see when they are old enough. Your Husband is remembered in the hearts and the minds of those who knew him. He was and is a Hero in his own right and these reflections are proof.

God Bless You!

I have laid down my life in service to all of you.
I have been a part of the fabric that has held the line between your safety and your victimization.
As I now become a part of the rich history of law enforcement, please remember me always for I have left behind those who loved and depended upon me.
I have given my life so that others may live in peace.
My partners and my agency, please remember my family, their loss, and don’t let time soften your compassion for them.
You guard the gate now and I will continue my watch from above.

His Judgment Day:
The officer stood and faced his God, Which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shinning, Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now, Officer, How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek To my church have you been true?"
The officer squared his shoulder and said, "No, Lord, I guess I aint, Because those of us who carry badges can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays, And at times my talk was rough, And sometimes I've been violent Because the streets are tough.
But I never took a penny That wasn't mine to keep.. Though I worked a lot of overtime, when the bills got too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help Though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God forgive me, I've wept an unmanly tear.
I know I don't deserve a place among the people here. They never wanted me around except to calm their fear.
If you've a place for me here, Lord, it needn't be so grand. I never expected or had too much, But if you don't...I'll understand.
There was silence all around the throne, where the saints often trod. As the officer waited quietly for the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, Officer. You've borne your burdens well. Come walk a beat on heaven's streets, You've done your time in hell"

Harper County Sheriff Ofc, Ok

It's unfortunate that these things happen, and when one of us bleed, we all bleed. We may not one another personally, but we love each other unconditionally, because we share a common interest, and passion.

When we put these uniforms on, pin that badge on our chest, and walk out the door, our goal is to be able to take the uniform off, and rest the badge on the table. But as we all know, sometimes that 's not always promised. We must put on a sheild of protection, and that's a sheild that only God can provide us.

Will, on that day you responded to that call, not only did you answer the call for 911, but you answered your fathers call as well.

Will I salute you............10-42.....
