Terrible, I cannot say how much I respect law enforcement officers around the world who respond to domestics thousands of times a day, each one dangerous and possibly fatal. A young LEO going to an open line 911 call and this is the result?
Rest now Brother, we'll take it from here. God's speed

I know I don't know the family personally, but in every family we all hurt because of a loved one dying and it's never easy to understand. In a sense he is part of all our police families and he will be missed. Our sympathies and condolences be with Deputy Mast's Wife and family and friends...

We face all kinds of situations,
Not knowing what's in store,
But for those of us who believe in God,
He watches over us ever more;

We put our lives on the line,
No matter if it’s male or female,
We never know what to expect,
We just wait and exhale;

And when we do exhale,
And take time to pray,
It's then God strengthens us,
In each and every way.

Again, our sympathies go out to the family and friends.

I never had the privilege of meeting you but I attended your funeral yesterday. I was overwhelmed by the amount of love and support shown by those that knew you and by law enforcement officers from all over our fine state as well as others. You were a good man and tales of you made me want to strive to live my life to be even half the husband, law enforcement officer, and friend that you were. May peace be with your family, friends, and fellow officers. You did good sir and I thank you for your dedication. Rest in peace "high speed", we'll continue the fight. God bless.

“True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic. It is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others at whatever cost.”
