To the parents, wife, children and entire Crapse family, you have my deepest sympathy as you do your best to stay strong throughout this tragic loss of Robert. It is another senseless loss of an officer only trying to do an honorable duty. I lost my only son (no other children) on Nov. 14, 2011 at 2:30 am. He was on officer with Doraville Police in DeKalb County, and was the on call detective called out to a home invasion. He was on I-20 EB and was struck by a vehicle, (originally traveling EB as well), when the driver decided to make a u-turn to go WB. My son, Robert Shane Wilson, was struck head on and died at the scene. It's been 7 months. It hasn't gotten any easier. I wish I had the words to comfort you, but you have a very difficult and painful road ahead. I hope you find the strength to endure your loss. May God bless you all. You are in my thoughts and I pray you find some comfort. Gayle Hanson, Retired DeKalb Poloce Officer.
