Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Police Officer Kevin E. Ambrose

Thank you for keeping my many friends in Springfield safe. Officers like you are why we sleep soundly at night, knowing you are out there, keeping us safe, at any cost, even the ultimate sacrifice. It is with a heavy heart I read about what happened to end your watch. My prayers to those who knew you and to your family. You may be gone, but with all the good you did for all of those you protected over the years, Officer Ambrose you will NEVER be forgotten. Rest in peace and thank you again.

Though I never knew him, he was part of my Law Enforcement family and I will mourn this deep loss the rest of my life. My heart aches with all the losses we have suffered, and continue to suffer, through the years. God is our only peace through such incidents. May family & friends feel the presence of the "God of All Comfort" as they endure the distressing days ahead. I join them in their agonizing grief & remember them in my prayers.

Another senseless tragedy
Another day of grief,
Another day of praying
To help us find relief.

Relief from bitter anguish
Relief from rage so great,
Relief from lenient justice
Which continues to seal our fate.

Relief from heartache’s torment
As we continue on,
Oh, the awesome loss of brotherhood
Now that you are gone.

Though our hearts are deeply broken
And our tears forever flow,
There’s a comforting assurance
That now with God you go.

We know that you are welcome
Now at Heaven’s gate,
While meeting brothers & sisters
Who also met such fate.

The family of Law Enforcement
Knows no distance here or there,
And we recall in comfort
You await us there.

His Judgment Day:
The officer stood and faced his God, Which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shinning, Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now, Officer, How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek To my church have you been true?"
The officer squared his shoulder and said, "No, Lord, I guess I aint, Because those of us who carry badges can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays, And at times my talk was rough, And sometimes I've been violent Because the streets are tough.
But I never took a penny That wasn't mine to keep.. Though I worked a lot of overtime, when the bills got too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help Though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God forgive me, I've wept an unmanly tear.
I know I don't deserve a place among the people here. They never wanted me around except to calm their fear.
If you've a place for me here, Lord, it needn't be so grand. I never expected or had too much, But if you don't...I'll understand.
There was silence all around the throne, where the saints often trod. As the officer waited quietly for the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, Officer. You've borne your burdens well. Come walk a beat on heaven's streets, You've done your time in hell"

38 years of service ending with honor, courage, and sacrifice. You are respected and held in honor from all who wear the badge. You are a WARRIOR, my dear friend. I offer the highest respects to you for your accomplishments and your final efforts. again we are deeply saddened when we see an officer fall in the line of duty again there are alot of mean nasty people in the US but there are those who truly believe in doing what is right there is always the possibility of people regenerating why because people have talked about this concept because the dead are not truly dead but nearly in another dimension ver interesting may god bless

we as men and woman in uniform regret and are deeply saddened when we see a fellow man in uniform fall while in the performance of his or her official
