To Ethan and to Amanda Anna's parents:
I often time think about Amanda because of the type of person she was. Amanda was definitely a mirthful individual with a frolic demeanor that could melt the hearts of the most callous hearted people. Amanda's smile was so beautiful, and her disposition was both warm and caring. I remember when Amanda was pregnant with Ethan and she would tell me just how much she loved her baby. Yes Ethan your mother loved you from DAY ONE.
I also remember our conversations about basketball, and how she believed she could beat me dispite the fact she was pregnant and sitting the desk at SP Watertown. Ethan, when I think of your mother I think of her smiling face, and that is how I will always remember her. Do your best in life Ethan. My thouhts and prayers will be with you always.

Amanda was truly a special person. While conducting an escort for the Wounded Warrior Project, Amanda struck me as a kind, and caring person above all else. It was amazing that such a beautiful and caring person was wearing the uniform of a NY Trooper, but I learned that she could be tough as nails when needed.
Not only did she serve our great state, but also her church and community outside of the uniform. Above all she was a loving mother, daughter, and fiancé and will be sorely missed by all she came in contact with.

Though I never knew him, he was part of my Law Enforcement family and I will mourn this deep loss the rest of my life. My heart aches with all the losses we have suffered, and continue to suffer, through the years. God is our only peace through such incidents. May family & friends feel the presence of the "God of All Comfort" as they endure the distressing days ahead. I join them in their agonizing grief & remember them in my prayers.

Another senseless tragedy
Another day of grief,
Another day of praying
To help us find relief.

Relief from bitter anguish
Relief from rage so great,
Relief from lenient justice
Which continues to seal our fate.

Relief from heartache’s torment
As we continue on,
Oh, the awesome loss of brotherhood
Now that you are gone.

Though our hearts are deeply broken
And our tears forever flow,
There’s a comforting assurance
That now with God you go.

We know that you are welcome
Now at Heaven’s gate,
While meeting brothers & sisters
Who also met such fate.

The family of Law Enforcement
Knows no distance here or there,
And we recall in comfort
You await us there.

TO:The family;loved ones;friends and department members: A POLICE OFFICER'S PRAYER:--- O, gentle Lord! Keep the day/night watch with me. As I begin my tour of duty,I ask your protection from all mental, physical and spiritual harm. Sustain me with the knowledge that I am doing your work, endeavoring to keep peace among your people. Help me to be just as I enforce the law without prejudice or favor to anyone. May I be courageous but not reckless in carrying out my duties. Support me with your consoling power when I am tempted to think no one really cares and that I am taken for granted. Sustain in me the conviction that so many thousands do care and are grateful for my presence. Grant that I may be loyal to my partner and my fellow officers, and that I may back them up effectively when called upon for assistance. Lord,I ask that I may return safely, after my tour of duty,to my loved ones and those who love me. I pray that I may be a good and honorable police officer ;and after my tour of duty is over here on earth, may I enjoy the peace and happiness of heaven that you have promised to those who serve you well.AMEN.***REST IN PEACE
