It is a sad thing to hear of a colleague losing his life in such a senseless act of violence. May God be with those who PO McCoy leaves behind and may God comfort his family, friends and fellow parole/probation officers in Oklahoma.

Sr Parole Officer Thomas Brender

We are sorry for this devastating heartbreak. Our thoughts and prayers go to his family. This is a very dangerous job, and we know that administration forgets what we go through when we are in the field. Here in Kansas, we are not allowed to carry any type of weapons to defend ourselves. Hopefully Kansas will wake up before another tragedy happens.
