Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Deputy Sheriff David William Wargo, Jr.

A fellow officer was involved in a similar incident and it is extremely hard on the family. Your wife in particular and your family are to be commended for staying the course. The mental anguish has to be unbearable. Rest in peace and may your family now have some consolation that you are finally at peace.

Very sorry to hear this. My late husband and I almost moved to Arizona when he first decided to become a police officer. Even though we never ended up there, we always felt a connection to the area and loved to visit.

My condolences go to Deputy Wargo's family, friends and co-workers. God bless.

To the family and friends of Deputy Wargo, his fellow deputies, and most especially to David:

We honor your service to your community as a law enforcement officer and you will always be remembered and revered. Rest in Peace.

On behalf of our entire family, I wish to extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Deputy Wargo died as a result of his injuries suffered years earlier in the line of duty. May his loved ones continue to be supported by their law enforcement family and other police survivors. Our family grieves with you and for you. To David's family, you are in my heart's embrace today.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the distinguished service Deputy Wargo gave to his community and the citizens of Arizona, and the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on May 1, 2012.

Multas per gentes et multa per aequora vectus
advenio has miseras, frater, ad inferias,
ut te postremo donarem munere mortis
et mutam nequiquam alloquerer cinerem.
Quandoquidem fortuna mihi tete abstulit ipsum.
Heu miser indigne frater adempte mihi,
nunc tamen interea haec, prisco quae more parentum
tradita sunt tristi munere ad inferias,
