ANGEL’S IN BLUE
I had this friend you see,
who loved God, Country, You and me.
My friend worked day or night, the peace to keep,
so you and I could go to sleep.
He worked the holidays and weekends,
away from family and friends.
Each day this friend put his life on the line
to spare yours and mine.
Then one day he paid the price,
he had to give his life.
"You've done well my friend,
patrolling these earthly streets.
Now it's time to walk on Heaven's beat."
The next time you see a Police Officer or two,
remember they are one of God's Angels in Blue.

***And God said; "Blessed are the Peace Makers."

My Brother Max,

You will surely be missed by all. To think 15 yrs ago you rode with me for the first time as a Police Officer, I was thrilled that the dept chose me as your first training officer ,Little did they know we had rode together before. We were back together again as we had both made it to the big time from the reserves. We had a lot of fun those weeks , memories that I will never forget. I wished I stayed in my old car post ,at least I would have enjoyed being around you for at least a little while longer. I am truly saddened by the loss of you Max , my Brother but we will see each other again and I'm sure you'll greet with with a big smile that familiar handshake and hug we give each other as Brothers and of course you calling me Big Mike again. God Speed Max your memory will be etched in my mind forever.

Max,
When I was new on the job as a foot-post in District 1, from my first days, you treated me as a peer; taking the time to talk to me, give me advice, transport my arrests, give me rides, and always telling me that family has to come first. You always spoke so highly of and were so proud of your family. As I moved on over the last few years, anytime we crossed paths, you'd yell out my name with a big smile, shake my hand, and ask me how I was doing with sincerity. You are a class act all of the way, RIP Max.
