I was sad to learn of the loss of Sgt Thomas. I did not know him personally, however his Dad and my daughter attended school together in Lake City, while we were stationed there in the military. My prayers go out to the family, and to Sgt Thomas' fiance'. May God be with each and everyone of you. Prayers are sent to all of you to help comfort you in this time of sorrow.

An Officer gave his life today
His Legacy of courage will shine like a ray

Let his Death be not in vain,
let justice come swiftly down like the rain

let the memories of him burn bright like the sun
do not let the life he gave us be done

the impact it had will reach far and wide,
a senseless loss, he never should have died

blessings to all his family and friends as you endure this senseless tragedy. my heart and prayers are with you.

This is a very sad event, the public doesn't see all the dangers we come in contact when surrounded by dangerous inmates. Our lives are always on the line. Hopefully, they stop with all these budget cuts when it comes to law enforcement.
