Reflections for Corrections Officer Britney Rachelle Meux

I'm deeply saddened by the loss of a young and vital life; in the instant matter, a 'fellow' law enforcement officer. Someone was either extremely malicious in their action, or made a horrific error while driving. Initially I was concerned they'd never be located. Now, not to worry since they're in custody.
To the family: May you come to know the peace that passes all understanding.

A hero is somebody who is selfless, who is generous in spirit, who just tries to give back as much as possible and help people. A hero to me is someone who saves people and who really deeply cares.

I did not know Officer Meux, But I know her now. My sympathy goes out to her family and friends and her police family. My 95 years old aunt died last month. One thing that I remember from the pastor's sermon: "Death respects no one, be the person is old or young!"

Britney,
Even though I unfortunately did not get to know you in this life, I am GLAD that the WORTHLESS individual that did this to you was caught. I know GOD has rewarded you for your labor and service here on hearth. I also know that GOD will punish the wrongdoer who ever so wrongfully took you away from us. I pray that the charges are upgraded to Murder. Only charging this WORTHLESS individual with with failure to stop for an accident resulting in death and three counts of failing to stop for accident resulting in injuries ARE NOT ENOUGH.

I agree with you Sergeant Murillo. Her smiles looks like it would light up a room. I can not imagine what her friends and family are going through and to leave behind a daughter who will grow up without her mother. I only hope and pray that she will look at the picture above and see her mothers beautiful smile. May you rest in peace.

The officer's photograph radiates that of a young lady
who loved life, had a great personality, sense of humor, and who was making a positive difference in law enforcement and corrections. Rest assured that she is now stands with God. My

Officer Meux, I'm so sorry to hear of your untimely death. After reading of your death it's clear that there will always be individuals out there that are so selfish and hateful, they would think nothing of cutting you down in the prime of your life. God has a place for you and your days are now filled with joy, happiness, love and kindness. Your spirit will live forever and you will live in the house of the Lord for eternity.
