Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Town Marshal Walter W. McCallister

RIP grandpa McCallister. I never got to know you as you passed away before your daughter married and many years before I was born. My mother told me the story of your death many times. I now have copies of the newspaper at that time thanks to another of your grandsons. I have visited your grave many times, next to my parents’.

RIP Marshal... Your heroic sacrifice is not forgotten! I often wonder what lawmen way back when would think of all of the modern day equipment used today to enforce the law (ie.. weapons, cruisers, computers, communications equipment, and so on...). They probably couldn't have imagined in their wildest dreams what the future for law enforcement would bring.... Just a thought.

Again, RIP Marshal....

I am privileged to be among the first to leave a reflection for you. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 87th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect and you will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace
