Trooper Radulescu, I learned of your loss first thing this morning as I rode to work. I am deeply saddened by this news, and my heart goes out to your family, and to all of law enforcement today. This is a stark reminder of what law enforcement faces every day for our freedom and quality of life.

Your selfless life of service to our country in the military, and to the people of the state of Washington is a testament to your tremendous character. You are an incredible example of what is best in our county and state.

This loss is tremendous and something we can never repay your family and your colleagues in law enforcement for. To the Washington State Patrol and all law enforcement in this state, thank you for your sacrifices and services. Absent them, we would not be the free and amazing society we are today.

Trooper Radulescu may you rest in peace.

When I first moved to Washington State in 2009 my family and I lived in Poulsbo. Trooper Tony pulled us over just west of Bond Road for speeding. My mother and grandmother both have very thick british accents and were curious about Trooper Tony's accent. After being nice enough to give my mom a warning Trooper Tony sat and talked with us for a while about his family and his heritage. It was very refreshing to see a public servant be that nice, down to earth and just generally curteous. We still remember that brief encounter years later purely because of the qualities the man possesed. His tragic death was very saddening to my family. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. God bless.
