Reflections for Trooper Tony Vian Radulescu

As I listened to the news this morning with tears in my eyes I couldn't believe we lost another one of our fearless, dedicated protectors of our peace. It has become a very difficult job and I don't know what we would do with out our law enforcement heros. My heart and prayers go out to his family and friends. God bless you all and also all of the law enforcement men and women. Rest In Peace Trooper Radulescu.

In October of last year, my 17 year old son was at fault in a fender bender. Trooper Radulescu was the one who showed up. When I arrived, he said, "don't be too hard on him Mom, he's very upset". He wrote my son a ticket for a lesser, going to fast for conditions when he could have written it for negligent driving. He did this he said, because everyone deserves a second chance. After the other driver left my son went to the patrol car to thank him. Trooper Radulescu talked to him for about 10 minutes, making sure he was ok and telling him not to beat himself up. This happens he said, what you do about it now is what's important. Learn from it. I am so thankful this Trooper was the one who arrived on the scene. He left a lasting impression on me and more importantly, my son. He was an asset to the WSP, and to life. He will be dearly missed. My condolences to his co-workers, friends, and family.
