Reflections for Trooper Tony Vian Radulescu

Brother, you are a hero to your family and agency. Rest in peace.

Deputy Jean Roberts
Mathews Sheriff's Office, Mathews VA

February 24, 2012

In the cynical world in which we live, the word HERO is over used to describe professional athletes and others, which in my mind, is a title they are not worthy of. I am and will forever be grateful to those who serve, face danger, and put themselves between us and harm, and do so for not much in the way of compensation. I respect the fact that they do it out of a sense of duty and a love for their fellow man. God bless you Tony, your family and all those who love and mourn for you. I will never forget you and those like you who put others first. May God hold you in his arms tightly and may you rest in peace, forever.

May you rest in peace Trooper Radulescu. My deepest sympathy for your family, agency and community. Being the wife of a law enforcement officer, a law enforcment employee and being from an agency that just lost one of our own last week in the line of duty I fully understand the pain you are going through. My prayers are with each and every one of you and hope that time will help heal you. God bless you all!!!

The men and women who put their selves in harms way to protect perfect strangers just amaze me. To have one of their lives cut short at age 44 amazes me in another way. Thank you, Trooper Tony for safeguarding me and my family, and I pray that the angels fly to the side of your family and protect them now. Thank you so much for your service.

Tony and I worked together in the Army, he was always funny and full of knowledge. He was a great soldier and human being. He was alway proud of being a State Patrolman and he prized his family. He has touched more people that his family and friends will ever know.

God speaks throuth the language
we know best - our circumstances.

Lfe can be hard. We all face disappointments, grief and hardships. When we are faced with these difficult circumstances, it is then that God wants to speak to our hearts. So listen to the whisper of God's voice and know our circumstances are not your own. God is with you!

Please accept my deepest sympathy in your loss.

He stood up...
He showed up...
He stepped forward...
He raised his right hand...
He stood in the gap.
He walked in the fire...
He did not run...
He did not hide...
He did not dodge...
He did not evade.
Consequently....
He had nothing to prove...
No one to convince...
Those who matter... already know.
Those who don't… never will.
