I was so saddened to hear of the death of one of our city's police force. I remember seeing the 4 cop cars racing down Blanding Blvd to Middleburg to assist and I didn't know what was going on at the time. This is horrible. His wife and children along with the entire Clay County Sheriffs' Department are in my prayers.

RIP Detective White, we will take it from here. I had the pleasure of serving with Dave in Iraq (2003-2004). He was one great guy, I remember many talks we had about him becoming a police officer and how happy he was to work in Clay County as a Deputy. It has been many years since those talks, but I have never forgotten him and never will! God Bless your family, friends and co-workers.

My heart goes out to Detective White's family and to my friends at the Clay County S.O. I pray God holds each of you in his arms and may his grace provide you with strength and understanding through the trials and tribulations ahead.

We grieve with you in this terrible time...We ask God to comfort the broken hearts of all those that know and love Detective David White. We will continue to pray for a quick and full recovery for the other officer that was shot protecting and serving along side his fellow officers. Such violent acts on our LEO's are on the rise and we pray that God will protect these brave and selfless men and women, that put their lives on the line day after day, so that we can be safe. Please know that we will never forget what the cost can be....God Bless all
