I am Officer Boyce's great-niece. Of course, I did not know him, but I heard stories from the family of his service as a police officer. Rest in Peace, and I hope to meet you one day in Heaven.

Lemuel Boyce was/is is 2nd great grand uncle. So nice to read everyone's kind messages. I would love to learn more about him. I now follow in his footsteps in another county nearby. My son was born exactly 100 years to the day of his death. This day of rememberance is now shared with celebration.

Officer Boyce was killed by someone who had burglarized my great grandfathers saloon and home. To think that my great grandfather and other family members that immigrated from Germany to find a better life had to deal with this kind of tradgedy here in the US. I found this info while doing family tree research. Officer Boyce thank you for your work. I am sorry your carrer ended as it did. Sometimes genealogy isn't fun.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 105th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.
