Reflections for Correctional Officer Tracy A. Hardin

Uncle Tracy I will never forget the day when I received the call from one of your fellow officers informing me that you had passed, it was a call that I wish I had never received.
I I talk to you often telling you about how I'm doing and what's going in my life. I know that you would be proud of me as I am of you. I love all the memories that I have of you. You was like the best and fun uncle I remember you would play video games with us and teach us karate moves you thought you were Bruce Lee Lol, RIP Love you.

Still not forgotten brother. You made the ultimate sacriface and we had to fight for your memorial. Even though the Department was unappreciative and did not want to include your brothers and sisters in your memorial, we think about you and speak of you all the time, even 3 years later. We fought for your memorial and we will fight to keep your memory alive. I couldn't even imagine my children having to receive the same news that your child did. With that, I feel your loss along with your family. God bless your soul, brother, and God bless your family. I truly pray for their peace and I pray the same for your soul. See you again some day!

Though I never knew him, he was part of my Law Enforcement family and I will mourn this deep loss the rest of my life. My heart aches with all the losses we have suffered, and continue to suffer, through the years. God is our only peace through such incidents. May family & friends feel the presence of the "God of All Comfort" as they endure the distressing days ahead. I join them in their agonizing grief & remember them in my prayers.

Another senseless tragedy
Another day of grief,
Another day of praying
To help us find relief.

Relief from bitter anguish
Relief from rage so great,
Relief from lenient justice
Which continues to seal our fate.

Relief from heartache’s torment
As we continue on,
Oh, the awesome loss of brotherhood
Now that you are gone.

Though our hearts are deeply broken
And our tears forever flow,
There’s a comforting assurance
That now with God you go.

We know that you are welcome
Now at Heaven’s gate,
While meeting brothers & sisters
Who also met such fate.

The family of Law Enforcement
Knows no distance here or there,
And we recall in comfort
You await us there.
