Re: No Parole for Herman Bell (inmate #DIN 79C0262)

Dear Parole Board Members:

I ask that you please DO NOT grant parole to Herman Bell, DIN 79C0262. This inmate's violent double murder of Patrolman Waverly Jones and Patrolman Joseph A. Piagentini in 1971 should preclude any consideration for parole.

On Friday, May 21, 1971, Patrolmen Jones and Piagentini of the New York City Police Department's 32nd Precinct, were ambushed and murdered in cold blood. They were both shot from behind and killed with no chance to defend themselves.

Violence against law enforcement officers is on the rise, and at least one officer this year has been murdered by a parolee. Inmates who take the life of an officer should be subject to serve their full sentence, without parole. In the case of inmate #79C0262, a life sentence for murder should mean just that.

As a concerned citizen, and in the interest of public safety, I respectfully ask that you DENY PAROLE for inmate #79C0262. Justice demands that he be made to spend every remaining day of his life in prison. Because the life of a police officer is worth more than that of the average citizen. Police are special, they don't have to obey the laws that govern others after all thanks to the magic of the police state, they can just make things up as they go along with whatever laws they feel suits the moment or time. Police are murdered because they are innocent and perfect and do no wrong to others or the community. They have nothing to hide because they are perfect, or should i say perfectely shielded by the law. So lets make more laws that helps them be even more perfectly shielded from both themselves and the community.

Sincerely,
Sergeant Jarvis Wallage
