Such a sad ending to the 2011 year to have lost yet another LEO. May you rest in peace Brother. Harm has no sense of time or reason just that it reaches out its hand and grabs onto those it reaches for. Our family sends our prayers to the Capano family, the agency, and his community.

I am so sorry to hear that Agent Capano was killed today trying to apprehend a Robbery suspect and protect society from another person that was probably a drug addict and had no regard for human life. Each time we lose a law enforcement Officer in this country, we lose a part of our security, safety and country. I hope there are not any more Officers killed in 2011 and although it's impossible to have, I hope there is not any more or very little next year and after. I was an Officer for 34 years before retiring and I greave everytime an Officer is hurt and or killed. There is a deep disrespect for laws and law enforcement in this nation lately and there is a very thin line between a peaceful free live and lawlessness and anarchy. God Bless Agent Capano, his family and his fellow Agents and friends.

Ret. Det. Alan D. Keiser, Denver PD
Retired Detective Denver Police Dept.
