I had the honor and pleasure of being Ronnies agent during most of his professional basketball career in France. From the very beginning ours was much more than a business relationship and quickly evolved into a warm friendship. My heart goes out to his wife Sylvie and his two daughters at this incredibly difficult time. It's not surprising to see all the glowing testimonials to Ronnie. If you met him once, he stayed engraved in your minds eye forever.
All of the basketball community here in France, former teamates, management, and fans are grieving over this loss. Ronnie was a hero in France, and obviously a hero in Georgia as well.
Ronnie was a true Christian and let his faith guide his life, may this same faith help his family and friends through this difficult time.
Go in peace big guy.....

I had the pleasure of meeting Deputy Smith once at the county line for a prisoner exchange. As he stepped out of the patrol car, I was caught off guard of this almost seven foot deputy looking down at me. After our two minute conversation, I left thinking that he was the pure definition of a gentle giant. Rest in peace my brother.
