Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Lamont C. Reid

What can I say about this wonderful man that god blessed me with for 30 years. If you have had the pleaser to know Lamont C. Reid you was blessed with his kindness. Lamont always had a way with words and a way with people. I have never heard a bad thing about such a wonderful person. Thank you for the many years and all the good and bad times whe shared together. Thank you for the 3 wonderful kids and the 6 grandkids we have. I miss you everyday and yes I do make the bed up everyday and I do have lunch with you on our spechal day. You was my soulmate and my heart is still broken. May the lord keep you until we meet again. As being my FTO, Lamont was not only a great Deputy, who taught me many things, he was just done right an amazing person. He loved his family and would do ANYTHING for anyone, especially his co-workers. Deputy Reid had many things he took pride in and made sure anyone who worked with him, followed. Those were you never leave a Officer/Deputy behind, he always made sure everyone had a back up. The other which hangs in our Department is "We come together, We leave together". With that, Lamont you will never be forgotten. RIP...

As a former co-worker of Lamont, I know what he stood for and the dedication he had in law enforcement. Lamont was a kind human being and a good mentor to all new deputies at the St. Clair County Sheriff's Department. May he rest in peace with all the other brothers and sisters who have passed on this earth. RIP Deputy Lamont Reid.

There are not enough words to express how great you were as a child of god, son, husband, father, friend and police officer. I love and miss but i thank god for blessing me with you. I still cant believe you are gone and will never forget that day. Just 30 minutes after we hung up the phone you were taken away from me. Im thankful that our last words were " I love you"....Until we meet again you legacy of greatness will continue through me. Love your daughter, Carmen
