After serving 28 years with the Monterey County Sheriff's Office I still consider myself ON DUTY and feel the pain of a fallen officer. I can only hope the family of Officer Capoot knows there are hundreds, if not thousands of officers that feel that pain, and want that family to know ,we are with you. GOD be with u and your family. Rest in peace Officer Capoot.

My prayer is of hope, strength, peace, and comfort for his wife, children, family, friends, fellow officers and co-workers. And may we walk by faith in God concerning those who put their lives in the line of duty daily, abide in love and cherish memories of Officer Capoot as well as all those who were slain in the line of duty. May we meditate and believe the scriptures, John ch. 14, Psalm ch. 23, and Psalm ch. 91. Lastly, let justice and righteousness prevail! Amazing Grace plays in my heart for Jimmy.

I am extremely saddened for your loss. Though I did not know Officer Capoot I did get the privilege of training with one of his co-workers this fall. Corporal Eng spoke highly of all his co-workers. I know that Vallejo has lost a great officer and friend. My sympathy to all of you.
