Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Police Officer James Lowell Capoot

I am so sorry for your family's loss. There are no words to express the pain you must be feeling or words that will console. Thank you for the years of service and dedication to making the community safer for all~

Eureka Police Department-

Ofc. Capoot dedicated his life to serving and protecting all of us, every day with great valor and strength. Among those he served and protected were battered women and children in our DV shelter, many of whom were too afraid to fend for themselves. Ofc. Capoot ensured their safety and restored their dignity. Victim Advocates in this community are honored by Ofc. Capoot's courageous example of selfless sacrifice.

Jim was absolutely relentless when it came down to hunting down and apprehending violent criminals. After having worked with Jim for many years, I've known him to have only one gear, "full speed ahead"

To borrow a few words from Lt. Col. Dave Grossman U.S. Army Ranger. On Nov 17, 2011, one of our brave and courageous sheepdogs paid with his life, while battling the evil wolf.

On behalf of our Police Dept and extended law enforcement family, we truly thank and appreciate everyone's support.

Lt. Kenny Park
Vallejo Police Dept

I offer my condolences to the family and friends of brother Officer James Capoot. “In a real sense all life is interrelated. All men are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly affects all indirectly.” ML King
