Reflections for Detective Robert Shane Wilson

REST IN PEACE

INVESTIGATOR BOB CAMERON
CLEVELAND HEIGHTS PD (OHIO)

November 16, 2011

To the family of Officer Wilson,
Many thanks for bringing in and raising a vigilant and loyal servant to the community into our world.

I got to meet Shane a few times, briefly, since I returned to Doraville from deployment overseas. He had a motivation and an attitude that made you feel good about having him on watch in your town. We were lucky to have him.

I would like to think that he was accepted happily into arms of the Lord and was told five simple words upon his arrival. Those words are "Well Done Shane, Well done!"

Many Blessings to your family for your family's sacrifice and dedication to the protection of our community.

Shane I know know that myself along with others that have had the honor of knowing you will miss you greatly. Words can't begin to describe my emotions towards what happened. Know that you were/are loved, missed, and highly respected by others everyday. Katie, Liam...I'm so sorry that this has happened, I've had the pleasure of working with Shane at O.T.B. starting back in '03-'04, I joined the military a little bit later down the road and still kept in contact with Shane and others from our former job. We had an amazing crew at the time and all of our bonds of friendship were strong. I know this is a very heart breaking time, but please know that you and Liam have amazing support from all over and others as well as myself are there for you no matter what at the drop of a dime. Shane will always be in our hearts.

Respectfully...

P.O. Michael B. Young
