Rest in peace my friend, I remember it all like it was yesterday talking to you about my ride in your 300 Chrysler. The way we were suppose to dance at your wedding. All I have is memories and I am still having a hard time T Mac, I visit the site often and I visit where you were laid to rest just as much. All I can remember is the way you looked at me and smiled on that day as i cried out for you....... I........ Love You T Mac

Terry!!! Girl!!! I was just sitting here thinkin about the first Burglary in progress that I ever went to with you. It just so happened to be the first that I had been too because I was actually doing traffic at the time. We pulled up and went up to the house looking through the windows and girl, you holla'd "Police get down!!!" So loud that it scared me....lol I'm also thinkin of how much fun u had at J's bachelorette party, those were the good times:)
It's comforting to know that you had a friend on Earth that is truly remarkable, you will forever live on through Tangela and I must say if I'm blessed to have a friend thats even half of what she has been to you, I will be eternally greatful.
Although we're missing you here on Earth, I know that your in a better place and God doesn't make mistakes. You have made you mark on this world!!!

Terry, I am thinking of you....I am thinking of the last time we spoke in front the court house... just a week before your passing. I remember you and I cracking jokes about people in our lives and scheduling our " girl time" for the first time. It never happened, however what did happen was, me having the opprotunity to work side by side with a mighty, courageous woman, who always had my back!!! You were strong and fearless and I will always remeber that about you.... I miss you Mrs. Flemming...Jesus ALWAYS knows best!!!

It took me awhile to come to a point where I can say a few words in regards to Terry Lewis-Fleming or Terry Mae, as I loved to call her. Terry Mae, I will never forget those many talks that we shared with each other, nor will I forget that beautiful smile whenever I would pick at you about your humble up bringing—that is being from Dawson, Georgia and all, but most importantly, know that you were loved and cherished by many, and that you will never be forgotten. I love you, I miss you, and you will always be remembered in my heart and in the hearts of many. Rest now, because you so deserve peace.

I come to the ODMP often to remember my late fiance Dennis. Every time I come here it breaks my heart to know that yet another officer has fallen and that yet another family has to live their lives without the officer they loved. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved Officer Lewis-Fleming. Know that you are not alone in the "journey" that you walk. Should you ever need anything please don't hesitate to contact me. (The Davis Co. Sheriff's Office in Iowa will always know how to reach me. I can also be found on Face Book.) You will be in my thoughts.

From reading the reflections left for Terry she sounds like she was a great woman with a beautiful spirit. Those of you who knew her in life were so blessed to have been able to share in it. I hope that you will all continue to find a way to celebrate and remember Terry's life and the WOMAN that she was. Remember that Terry's life was about so much more than the way she died. Terry will continue to live on as long as we continue to remember her.

Officer Lewis-Fleming, thank you for helping to make this world a little safer for us all. YOU will not be forgotten. Please continue to watch over all of us as only you can. If you happen to bump into my late fiance Dennis up there give him a big hug for me and the kids. It's been nine years and he's still very much missed and forever loved.

Wishing you brighter and better days,

Jocelyne :)

His Judgment Day:
The officer stood and faced his God, Which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shinning, Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now, Officer, How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek To my church have you been true?"
The officer squared his shoulder and said, "No, Lord, I guess I aint, Because those of us who carry badges can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays, And at times my talk was rough, And sometimes I've been violent Because the streets are tough.
But I never took a penny That wasn't mine to keep.. Though I worked a lot of overtime, when the bills got too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help Though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God forgive me, I've wept an unmanly tear.
I know I don't deserve a place among the people here. They never wanted me around except to calm their fear.
If you've a place for me here, Lord, it needn't be so grand. I never expected or had too much, But if you don't...I'll understand.
There was silence all around the throne, where the saints often trod. As the officer waited quietly for the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, Officer. You've borne your burdens well. Come walk a beat on heaven's streets, You've done your time in hell"
