God bless yet another one of our fallen officers. A hero who is on duty 24/7. Deputy Paugh we salute you.
Father in heaven, we ask you comfort JD's wife, son, and mother at such a time that is so heart breaking. Remember his other family and friends. Lord as you bless this family and others please lay blessings on his brother and sisters of his law enforcement family who served with him and are missing him. Father help each and everyone who is feeling this sadness. Help them to be able to deal with what has happen and understand he is with you and well taken care. For all these things we ask, we do so in the name of the risen savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Thank you for the inspiration and doing what you didn't have to do. Would anyone have ever known that you didn't stop? Nope, but you would have and that was enough. Off the clock and on your way home, but still wanting to do the right thing even though nobody was watching. God bless you, your family, and your brothers and sisters at the RCSO. Way to hang in there and stay in the fight til our Shepard called you home. Lay your head down, turn your radio off, and we'll take it from here. Rest in peace brother.

My heart breaks for your family & friends for I know the road they have just started travelling is a difficult one. You were truely going beyond "the call" as you were on your way home from your shift & stopped to offer your assistance. God bless you Deputy Paugh from the sister of NC Sheriff and survivor of fallen officer. If God has motorcycles in heaven, I will pass you one day as we both ride!
